At last I'm on this forum
« il: 06/03/2006, 23:04:43 »
Some of you guys there in Italy may know me.
My name is Toon van der Aa and I live in The Netherlands in a town called Oirschot.
For 2½ year I have met Fabio and Diego here in Holland and we made a trip together with some other Dutch FJR-guys (André and Stephan).
Since one week I own my third FJR.
This time it is the 2006 model.
I'll show you some pictures of the new bike and myself.
Maybe later I'll join your forum again but my italian is bad

Hi, Toon: nice to meet you here and compliments for you new FJR! when will you come over for a trip? we have chosen a couple of attractive destinations for a ride to central Italy for the next  months and you are warmly invited with us. I've got a 2004 bike snd it's too early to think of new models but your one is really beautiful and I wish you long, safe and funny rides. I hope we'll meet personally one day.

Last time I was in Italy on my motorbike was in 2000 (Lido delle Nazioni; south of Venezia).
At that time with a Kawasaki GTR1000.
In May 2008 I will retire and have plans to make a 10 days trip to the Dolomites in June 2008.
This year I want to visit the Tour de France for one week and travel along with them trough the Pirynees and the French Alps.
In 2007 I have already planned a 12 days tour to Norway.
So maybe I'll be in your neighbourhood in June 2008.

From next week on I will be on the road again with a Kawasaki.
After three FJR's it is now time to return to the GTR again.
But this time it will be the new 1400GTR!!
Thank you all in the Yamaha community for the nice contacts.
Particularly Diego and Fabio and the ladies.
Maybe we will meet somewhere in the future: me on a Kawasaki
1400GTR and you on a Yamaha FJR1300
